From the food you eat to the lake you swim, Nitrogen fertilizers has a huge impact on today's nitrogen distribution globally. While it allows industrial agriculture, the excess amount of nitrogen seep into groundwater, lakes, and rivers, polluting the water we drink and disrupting the many marine ecosystems such as oceans and marshes. My company combats against this by both increasing and controlling nitrogen uptake efficiency by manipulating biofertilizers such as rhizobacterias with sugar to ensure controlled release of nitrogen, to increase Nitrogen use efficiency and reduce runoff of nitrogen, and using a pod to decrease fertilizer usage and better cost efficiency for commercial and small farms.
